     Lady birds or Ladybugs are insects from a family of coccinellidae. "Ladybirds" is derived from Britain. The insects are known as the lady beetle. The word Coccinellid is a Latin word means scarlet.

     Ladybirds are known as predators of aphids and scale insects. They are purely carnivorous but some species in the sub family Epilachninal are herbivores, and can be very destructive agricultural pests. They can damage the harvests.

     Ladybugs are bird's prey besides frogs, wasps, spiders and dragonflies. Their bright colour discourages some potential predators to attack them. This phenomenon is called aposematism. The predators learn by experience that 'good looking prey', associates to bad taste. These insects produce an allcalloid toxin when the predators attack them.

     Ladybirds bite people and cause allergic reactions. In the grape orchard, they can cause the wine's production becomes poor.

     A long time ago, people in Magetan East Java were lucky because their land was fertile. However, since they did not have enough water, the villagers could not plant a lot of trees. Therefore, the villagers occasionally had to walk very far away to find water.

     Every morning, the head of the village asked several young men to find water. One afternoon, the young men came home with good news, “There was a water spring, not too far from here but very difficult to get to.”

     “Who dares to go there?” asked the head of the village. Several young men raised their hands and said, “We will go there, Sir.” And they went to the water spring. They were right. The place was not easy to reach. They had to be very careful.

     Finally, on arrival, they saw a girl and they were surprised. They all thought that a girl could not go there. “Maybe she is not really human, maybe she is an angel,” said one man. “Come on, let’s approach her,” said another man. Strangely, before the men reached her, she disappeared.

     “Look! She is over there!” and pointing at the place. They immediately ran to her again, the girl disappeared. “Look! What is that? It is shining!” said one man. Exactly on the spot where the girl was standing, they found a big diamond. The diamond was next to the well. So, they took the diamond home with a lot of water.

     When they showed the diamond to the head of the village, he said, “Our great grandparents named this kind of diamond Manikan. Since the diamond was found next to the water spring, let’s name the water spring Manikan.”

     Everybody agreed. Since then the area was named Manikan. The word Manikan had changed into Panekan. Now Panekan has become a great area in East Java. The people are happy because they have fertile land.

     Prambanan is the largest Hindu temple compound in Central Java, Indonesia. Located approximately 18 km east of Yogyakarta, the temple is a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the largerst Hindu temples in Southeast Asia.

     It was built around 850 by either Rakai Pikatan, king of the second Mataram dynasty, or Balitung Maha Sambu, during the Sanjaya Dynasty. Not long after its construction, the temple was abandoned and began to deteriorate. Reconstruction of the compound began in 1918. The main building was completed in 1953.

     The temple was damaged during an earthquake in Java in 2006. Early Photos suggest that although the complex appears to be structurally intact, damage is significant. The temple was closed to the public till the extent was fully assessed. However, a few weeks later in 2006 the site reopened to visitor. The immediate surroundings of the Hindu temples remain off-limit for safety reason.

     Chrisye (born Chrismansyah Bahadi) was an Indonesian progressive-pop singer. He recorded 21 solo albums in his lifetime. Chrisye was born in Jakarta in 1949. He married G.F. Damayanti Noor in 1982, who was also a singer. He had four children and was a good father for them.

     Chrisye started recording with the band Gipsy in 1969. In 1976 the band collaborated with Guruh Soekarno Putra on Guruh Gipsy and released a progressive rock album. It combined progressive rock with Balinese gamelan. Since then, Guruh and Chrisye were known as a loyal mate to each other.

     His rise to fame came with the release of the critically acclaimed movie soundtrack “Badai Pasti BerlaIu”  in 1977.The album was done in collaboration with Eros Jarot and Yockie Suryoprayogo.

     In 2004, Chrisye made an album entitled “Senyawa”. In this album, Chrisye collaborated with Indonesian newcomers, such as Project Pop, Ungu, Peterpan, etc. After suffering from lung cancer for many years, Chrisye passed away in 2007.
